Carlitos Padrón is an experienced percussionist who has been residing in New York City for 22 years. He showcased his percussion skills from a young age, inspired by two family members who were well-known figures in the Venezuelan music industry.

In the year 2000, Padrón decided to settle in New York City to begin his journey as a percussionist, taking his first steps alongside the renowned pianist Eddy Martínez at Tito Puente's restaurant in New York. That same year, he continued his musical studies with percussion master Johnny Almendra at Boys Harbor Music School.

Between 2007 and 2008, Carlitos Padrón became part of the music staff for the Off-Broadway show Celia Cruz – The Musical. In 2016, he had the opportunity to participate in the Broadway show On Your Feet as the lead percussion substitute.

At the end of 2008, Carlitos began to conquer the world of music production with the release of his own album, Los Rumberos del Callejón, a group that features some of the greatest musicians in the world. This ensemble has already produced and recorded three albums: De la Nada, Construyendo, and the most recent 10mo Aniversario, celebrating their 10th anniversary. These albums received excellent reviews from the public and media related to Latin music.

The list of artists Carlitos has had the opportunity to share the stage with is incredibly diverse, including major figures from the music world across Latin America and the Caribbean, such as Gilberto Santa Rosa, Jerry Rivera, Tito Rojas, La India, Rubén Blades, Tito Nieves, and Maelo Ruiz.

Since 2011, Carlitos has served as the musical director for Maelo Ruiz's band in the United States.

He has participated in numerous recording sessions with important artists and producers, including Steven Van Zandt, Isidro Infante, Banco Popular de Puerto Rico (Latin Grammy Nominee 2010), Orquesta Akokán (Grammy Nominee 2018), Vicentico of Los Fabulosos Cadillacs, and Lin-Manuel Miranda's Almost Like Praying alongside Marc Anthony, Jennifer Lopez, Juan Luis Guerra, Sergio George, and many more. Carlitos has also collaborated with global superstar Rauw Alejandro and Hollywood Star Bill Murray, showcasing his versatility and cross-genre appeal.

More recently, Carlitos Padrón has worked with distinguished music producer Ray Chew. He performed in the Grammy-nominated Jazz at Lincoln Center concert by Rubén Blades and Wynton Marsalis in 2019. Additionally, he shared the stage with Rubén Blades, Gustavo Dudamel, and the LA Philharmonic, a performance that earned him worldwide recognition and established him as one of the best percussionists in the Latin music industry.

Beyond his musical career, "Carlitos" earned a degree in Audio Engineering from the "Taller De Arte Sonoro" in Caracas, Venezuela.

Carlitos has been producing and recording at his own studios, Chongo Productions, achieving great success on digital platforms such as YouTube, Spotify, Instagram, Apple Music, and many others.

His love for music has gone beyond the stage, leading him to establish his own music production company, Chongo Productions LLC. Through this venture, he not only brings his own musical ideas to life but also focuses on supporting new talent and producing and editing audiovisual material.
